My undergraduate years were filled with studying art and design at Harding University in Arkansas. My employment opportunities have involved working at a business to business advertising agency and various freelance business to customer projects. Although I currently live in Dallas, Texas I spend many weekends traveling back to Arkansas to fish, hunt and visit family. My wife and I enjoy traveling, hanging with our dogs and working on completing our home renovations. I pride myself in communicating a client's message through my work.
When commenting about design, one of my inspirations Erik Spiekermann stated, "...you only talk about it when it's bad. It's taken for granted, but we would certainly miss it if it wasn't there." This is a concept I attempt to integrate into all of my work. I appreciate attention to detail while retaining a practical message. Design should be something functional: something that helps people get through the day and move through their lives. Design serves a noble purpose of conveying ideas to the viewer. The key to this purpose is allowing the design to subtly speak for itself; encouraging the viewer to grasp the concept of his own volition, in a sense not noticing that he was ever persuaded to do so.
